HOW TO MEASURE FOR YOUR NECKLACE SIZE
I'm going to make the necklace for you. Please don't guess at your size. I want to get this right for you the first time - and I charge to resize necklaces. Using a piece of string place one end at the point on your chest where you would like the top of the medallion to rest. Then take the other end up and around your neck loosely back to this point. Measure the string length from point to point then select the closest size from the drop-down menu above. Custom sizes can be made - contact me with your requirements and for pricing.

ABOUT THE AZTEC CALENDAR SUN STONE AND THIS MEDALLION
The Aztec Calendar Stone medallion design pays tribute to the legendary Aztec Calendar Stone carved by Aztec artists in 1479. In 1790 during renovations of the Central Square in Mexico City, a massive carving was unearthed. It was the Aztec calendar stone, or, more properly, the Cuauhxicalli Eagle Bowl. It is a massive carving, 3 feet thick, almost 12 feet across, and weighing over 22 tons. It was carved from basalt - a solidified lava, this being an area where volcanoes were common. The famous calendar stone is a brilliant combination of artistry and geometry. It reflects the Aztec understanding of time and space as wheels within wheels. The detailed surface of the stone combines the understanding of the gods the people had created over the centuries as well as their observations of the heavens.
